*MISSISSIPPI* - HOMOCHITTO NATIONAL FOREST

White Oak Wild Camp has a "Challenging" difficulty rating consisting of hilly upland mixed hardwood & pine stands and is truly a "Wild" Hike in. There is adequate area for parking at the Forest Service Road Gate (green). I suggest parking on either side of the road to park - do not block. The off-trail" hike is very brushy up on the hills as you traverse your way to Wild Camp. Stay true to your coordinate navigation routing and you will be good to go. Total distance to Wild Camp is just a little over 900 yards.

This Wild Camp Site can accomodate 3-4 tent/hammock shelters with two giant White Oak "Twins" towering at Site Center. Gently rolling Downhill Travel to Camp, Uphill Travel leaving Camp.
